Your young adult will discover their natural strengths, motivations, values, and patterns that may be causing challenges. With this powerful personal blueprint, you and your teen can work together to build habits and confidence that support their unique needs. We will create clear goals and action steps to get them started.

I entered my first leadership program at 16 and truly believe my success today is due to the self-discovery and social challenges I was given at a young age. I spent 16 years at the national level helping young people find their voice in our democracy, seek out multiple perspectives, and build skills to advocate for the changes they wished to see in the world. As a classroom teacher, I saw students struggling emotionally, and realized many of the skills I used to create community change, could be used to create personal change. I entered my first brain-based life coaching program in 2006.
I experienced my first panic attack at 15 and I did not know it at the time, but I had already formed a habit of taking on too much and trying to be perfect at all of it. I have gained tools over the years to manage anxiety and training my brain has been the most effective.
As a former teacher, I know that active learning with a social component is the most effective type of learning (and the most fun). Sessions take place IN PERSON at my office, where students can fully immerse in their growth, practice skills in real time (with another human) and be free from outside distractions.
These skills are just as important in the workplace as they are in school. I have helped managers improve their soft skills and take care of their mental health so they can be better leaders. As young adults build self-management skills, they will stand out as potential employees.
Social connection, learning, and play are the ingredients in my personal recipe for mental health. So, I make time for hiking, playing sports, improv comedy classes, exploring new places and cultures, hosting dinners with friends, and listening to podcasts about the brain.
Your teen will learn how to turn their body's stress response "OFF" and engage their pre-frontal cortex so they can problem solve, see clearly, trust themselves and others.
Your teen will learn how addiction works in their brain to empower them to seek healthier solutions to fulfill their needs.
Time Management is a combination of three skills; decision-making, self-management, and strategic planning. Your teen will refine these skills.
Part of the coaching process is self -discovery. Your teen will become clear on their values, motivations, strengths and stressors. This will help them make life decisions more confidently.
We are wired for self-love. However, an underdeveloped pre-frontal cortex can lead to repeated thoughts of guilt, shame, criticism and more. Your teen will strengthen this part of their brain, so they experience self-compassion and confidence.
Strong social connections are vital to our health. Your teen will have a chance to practice social skills in a safe space, build self-awareness, and explore situations from other points of view.
During this 30-minute session, we will explore the major challenges your teen is facing and identify where they may need brain strengthening. I will offer strategies to help them overcome these challenges.
